              Gran's Remedy
For Really Smelly Feet & Footwear

Why do feet and footwear smell?

There are bacteria on the feet that are known to cause foot odor Feet perspire naturally and produce fatty acids. In the warm damp atmosphere of the footwear, the bacteria feed off the fatty acids, multiple and give off the bad odor. The bacteria get into the footwear making the footwear smell. If you leave your footwear to dry for a few days the smell tends to go away. But when you put on the footwear, the warmth returns and so does the smell.

How does Gran's work?

Gran's works by eliminating the bacteria that cause the smell. Half a teaspoon is applied to the shoes worn daily, whether or not they are the same shoes you wear each day. The results are the same because Gran's works to eliminate the bacteria using the shoes as a medium . The powder will get on to the feet (where the problem starts), even if socks or hosery/hosiery are worn. Continue to apply the powder each day until the powder is used up. It is important not to interrupt the seven day (approx) program, as this can dilute the effectiveness of the remedy.

The bottle that the powder comes in, contains a small spoon, which is the equivalent of half a teaspoon. Once the powder is used up, your feet and also the shoes you have worn during the treatment period will remain odour free for up to six months.

What time of the day should I apply the powder?

You can apply it any time of the day. But our preference is to apply the powder just before the shoes are worn. When the feet are placed in the shoes the feet act as distributor ensuring that the powder is distributed around the footwear and on the feet where the bacteria reside.

Where in the shoes do I put the powder?

Just sprinkle the powder as evenly as possible throughout the shoes.

I have trouble only with my sneakers (trainers, runners, or whatever you call them in your country

Some people have a problem with only one set of footwear, usually sports shoes that they wear infrequently. The best application here is to place half a teaspoon into each shoe each time they are worn.

My child who is ten years old has smelly feet.

The amount of powder you purchase is for an average adult foot. Just adjust the amount you put in each shoe according to size.

I have a problem only with my sandals.

Sandals, or any open shoes, cannot retain the powder to the same degree as ordinary footwear. We suggest you try our foot lotion

It has no deodorant smell.

That's correct. Gran's Remedy eliminates the cause of the smell not masks it. Also the powder itself is virtually odourless. This means others will not know it is being used.

Does it matter if the powder gets on my feet?

No. It does anyway, eliminating the bacteria on the feet as well as in the footwear.

Do I need to wear socks/stockings/tights?

Not if you do not wish to.

It says not to use on open wounds.

Yes, because the powder could irritate the wound like sand. There are no harmful side-effects.

Where is the powder made?

In New Zealand where it is used by approximately 1 in every 60 New Zealanders each year. This equates to approximately and potentially 4.4million users in the USA, 900,000 in the United Kingdom, and 300,000 in Australia for example. A survey a few years ago in North America estimated that approximately 50% of the population suffered from smelly feet. So we still have a big job ahead of us to cure the world of smelly feet.

                                                                                 Is Gran real?

Yes Gran was real. But she is no longer with us.
